Pakistani
Test spinner Nadeem Khan will be Accrington's sub professional in the
vital last match of the season at Haslingden on Sunday. The slow left
armer lists a host of teams on his CV - Pakistan, Karachi, Pakistan Universities,
Karachi Whites, Pakistan Automobiles Corporation, National Bank of Pakistan,
Pakistan International Airlines, Karachi Whites, Pakistan Automobiles
Corporation, Karachi Blues, National Bank of Pakistan, Pakistan International
Airlines and Durham Cricket Board
in
a career that began in 1986-7. The 35 year-old acted as sub professional
for Lowerhouse at Church last Sunday taking 2-73 in 25 overs and making
21 batting at number four.

a close - Mohsin Ahmed needs 36 to pass 500 runs for the third season
running, Zahir Afzal needs 29 runs and 4 wickets for 400 runs and 30 wickets,
skipper Matt Wilson needs 106 for 400 runs and Jimmy Hayhurst needs 3
victims for 30 wickets. Graeme Sneddon needs 5 wickets and 25 runs for
a 'junior double' of 200 runs and 20 wickets.

and Bryn to see the team through, only needing to block out the final
over.

The
Under 11's "A" Team beat Nelson in a close finish by 3 runs. Batting first,
Accrington made 237 for the loss of just 1 wicket with Sam Tattersall
top scoring with 10 runs. Nelson then got to 233 off their first 4 overs,
but some tight bowling and good fielding with 2 run outs and catches from
Josh Roberts and a caught and bowled by Connor Brown restricted Nelson
to needing just 3 off the final over. Jacob Clarke took a wicket with
his first ball meaning Nelson needed 9 off 5 deliveries and was unlucky
not to get a 2nd wicket when an edge dropped just short of the wicket
keeper. A few singles meant they needed a 4 off the final delivery and
only a single was scrambled giving Accrington a well earned victory.

Accrington
professional Tama Canning celebrated his call up to the New Zealand A
Team with an unbeaten 151 at Colne on Saturday. Only Charlie Llewellyn's

terms by Accrington and will give an answer before Christmas when his
future commitments should be clearer. Canning needs another 35 runs for

have New Zealand all rounder Tama Canning back as professional for Sundays
opener against Colne at Thorneyholme Road. Former Rawtenstall batsman
Adam Wilson joins his brother Matt in a side that will be without the
retired Steve Juliff and Paul Barratt, who has emigrated to New Zealand.
Graeme Sneddon is unvailable but Tariq Hussain is down to play. Accrington

the season strongly with two good wins. On the other hand, opponents Colne
have won just one of their last 13 league matches and that was at Accrington.

Gary Laycock is taking a year out and Andy Roberts is leaving the area.
All rounder Qasim Ali has joined the club after just one season at Lowerhouse.
David Spokes and Gareth Ormerod are included in the side and Colne skipper
