Weekend teams

This season we have a double Looking Back Feature going back to 1993 when Neil Johnson was professional and also to 2013 when the club won the Lancashire League title for the last time with Ashar Zaidi as professional.

A double header in 1993 saw Accrington go down to two defeats. Bob Holmes took a career best 8-17 to bowl Rawtenstall to a 160 run win at Accrington on Saturday August 14th. The following day league leaders Haslingden kept on course for the Lancashire League title with a 94 run win over Accrington at Bentgate.

In 2013 an unbeaten century by Ashar Zaidi took Accrington closer to the Lancashire League title after a 6 wicket win at Haslingden on Saturday August 10th.
