Accrington welcome in-form Great Harwood to The Property Shop Arena on Sunday.

Great Harwood completed the double over leaders Church last Sunday to move up to fourth place whilst Accrington were beaten by Rishton for the second time this season.

Accrington came out on top when the sides met in a high scoring thriller back in May.

Accrington make two changes with Riley Armstrong and Damian Clarke replacing Ali Hasham and Alice Clarke.

Great Harwood are unchanged.

The seconds travel to Junior Division 2 leaders Great Harwood in the reverse fixture on Sunday.

The thirds host Lowerhouse 4th XI on Saturday.

The club is looking for a scorer for this game and for the remainder of the season.

Please contact Mark Taylor on 07949610512 if you can help.

Weekend teams

This season we have a double Looking Back Feature going back to 1993 when Neil Johnson was professional and also to 2013 when the club won the Lancashire League title for the last time with Ashar Zaidi as professional.

In 1993 Accrington had an 11 run win over Lowerhouse at Thorneyholme Road with professional Neil Johnson taking 6-53 after Bob Collins had top scored with 71 on Saturday August 7th.

In 2013 professional Ashar Zaidi won the race to 1,000 runs in Accrington's match against Todmorden at Thorneyholme Road but the no result ended Accrington's sequence of successive home wins at ten on Sunday August 4th.
