Accrington professional Ashar Zaidi won the race to 1,000 runs in his sides match against Todmorden at Thorneyholme Road but the result ended Accrington's sequence of successive home wins at ten. Zaidi hit 119 from 112 balls, including nine fours and two sixes. He added 83 for the 2nd wicket with Sam Excell (17) and 126 for the 3rd wicket with Aijaz Shah who made 55 from 82 balls, hitting nine fours and passing 400 runs for the season. Stand-in skipper Stuart Crabtree also hit an unbeaten 42 from 29 balls with three sixes and a couple of fours as Accrington closed on 279-9. Rain reduced Todmorden's target to 217 from 35 overs but they managed to play only 6 overs in which the visitors made 19-0. All of the day's other matches were also rained off to leave Accrington now needing 26 points for the title from the last six matches.
