Professional Neil Johnson and Mark Greenhalgh shared all 10 wickets to bowl Accrington to an 11 run win over Lowerhouse at Thorneyholme Road. Bob Collins top scored with 71 in Accrington's 142-7 with Lowerhouse professional Cameron Williamson taking 5-40 in a rain reduced 34 overs a-side game. Williamson removed his opposite number Johnson (13) at 29. Ten runs later Paul Stansfield had skipper Nick Marsh (3) caught by John Procter. Billy Rawstron (16) added 35 with Collins before being cleaned up by Williamson who also sent back Paul Barratt (15) at 96 and Mark Demaine (1) at 104. Collins became Williamson's fifth victim at 131 after hitting seven fours in his 98 ball innings and 2 runs later skipper Jez Hope had Greenhalgh (1) caught by Ryan Hesketh. Neil Holmes was unbeaten on 16 and wicketkeeper Mick Wilson still there on 1 when the innings closed. Greenhalgh had opener Phil Astin (15) caught by Barratt at 40 and one run later Johnson cleaned up Chris Bleazard without scoring. Johnson also removed Stan Heaton (2) at 59 and Ted Whittle (5) at 77. Skipper Hope (5) and Procter (4) both fell to Greenhalgh at 86 and 96 with Johnson breaking a 7th wicket stand of 27 by taking a return catch off Matt Hope (20). One run later Johnson cleaned up Hesketh (0). Williamson's innings finally ended when he edged Greenhagh behind to Wilson for 56 from 86 balls with three fours. Johnson polished off the tail by holding on to a return catch off Stansfield (0) to secure a second successive win to move up one place to ninth.
