Keiren Grimshaw hit 69 to help Accrington to a first ever league win at Middleton. Grimshaw hit thirteen boundaries during his 53 ball innings. He added 111 for the 3rd wicket with professional Janith Liyanage who made 41 from 63 balls after the loss of Graeme Sneddon (4) at 4 and Jon Hayhurst (13) at 23. Skipper Ross Brown had earlier taken 4-51 and Liyanage 3-19 after Middleton skipper George Walker (41) and Leighton Le Carpentier (36) had put on 76 for the 1st wicket. Only Tom Rutter (15) and Dale Highton (13) made double figures of the remaining batsmen as Middleton were bowled out for 135. Young Riley Armstrong took two fine catches for Accrington.
