Accrington move back up up to third place in the table after a 60 run win over Littleborough at Thorneyholme Road. Jon Hayhurst made his first half century of the season in Accrington's 166 all out. The opener hit three boundaries during his 104 ball innings of 51 before being fifth out at 143. He added 92 for the 5th wicket with Alec Jakeman who hit a league best 47 with six fours and a six. Professional Janith Liyanage was the only other player in double figures with 11 but there were 42 Extras, including 24 wides. Ryan Miskella took 4-44, Lewis Willman 3-21 and Harry Bentley 2-37 for Littleborough Jacob Clarke removed Tom Pye without scoring at 15 but professional Thomas Kaber joined Matt Hernon to take the score to 76. Young leg spinner Raheem Kasser then changed the game by dismissing the visiting professional first ball with wicketkeeper Ben Ross taking the catch on his senior debut. Skipper Ross Brown sent back Hernon for 18and then Kasser trapped Miskellla for 9. Brown removed Gary Nash without scoring 1 run later at 89. Brown then removed Willman at 105. One run later Brown ended Callum Rushton's 31 ball knock of 7. Next ball the off spinner sent back Harry Bentley. William Sandiford-Mitchell avoided the hat-trick but perished next ball. It was Kasser who took the last wicket, trapping Zac Perren, meaning 5 wickets had fallen for the addition of 1 run. Brown finished with a career best 6-15 and Kasser finished with a career best 3-15 to give Accrington maximum points.
