New Accrington professional Janith Layanage took 5 wickets on his home debut for the club to help Accrington to a 5 wicket win over Great Harwood. Liyanage took 5-35, skipper Ross Brown 3-12 and Jimmy Hayhurst 2-25 to dismiss the visitors for 116. kipper Paul Houldsworth top scored with 31 including six fours before being last man out. Allan Armer also hit 19 but no other batsman made double figures in the Great Harwood innings. Accrington slipped to 23-3 with openers Ramiz Hussain (0) and Jon Hayhurst (4) back in the pavilion along with Liyanage (11) but Keiren Grimshaw hit an unbeaten 48 from 63 balls with two fours and a six to see Accrington home. Andrew Greenwood also chipped in with 20 before falling to Stuart Maher (3-42).
