Church won the local derby at Accrington by 82 runs. Church recovered from 47-5 and 76-6 to post 181-8 with lower order runs from number seven Phill Gilrane (45), number eight Jack Gaskill (15) and number nine Sam Tucker (30 not out). Professional Johnny Riekert hit five fours in making 42 before falling to Accrington skipper Ross Brown (3-36) at 76. Jimmy Hayhurst (3-36) and Jacob Clarke (2-34) made life difficult for the visitors top six with only Riekert in double figures. Accrington also made a poor start against Church spinners Josh Dentith (3-31) and Jack Gaskill (2-28) with Dentith removing openers Ramiz Hussain (3) and Jon Hayhurst (3). Gaskill sent back Keiren Grimshaw (7) and home professional Janith Liyanage (14). Riekert removed Clarke (8) and Dentith bowled Andrew Greenwood (10) to leave Accrington in trouble on 58-6. Jimmy Hayhurst fell to Phill Gilrane at 80 and Sam Bancroft was cleaned up by Cameron Dawson after making 27 from 35 balls with five fours. Gilrane then polished Accrington off for 90 by removing Brown and Riley Armstrong to finish with 3-3.
