Accrington v Haslingden
Jake Neary took a career best 5-18 to blow Accrington away for 59 and set up a 138 run win for Haslingden at Thorneyholme Road. Neary sent back Ramiz Hussain (2), professional Ockert Erasmus (7), Keiren Grimshaw (3), Graeme Sneddon (4) and Jacob Clarke (15). Matt Griffin also took 2-26 and there were two run outs in the home sides innings, including opener Ali Hasham who made 14. Haslingden made 197-5 in a 45 overs a-side game after being put in to bat. Jimmy Hayhurst trapped Graham Knowles for 7 and then David Ormerod struck a double blow by sending back Matt Griffin (12) at 22 and professional Burton de Wett (7) at 38. Skipper Alex Coleman lead the recovery with a fine innings of 71 made from 77 balls and containing six fours. Coleman dominated a 4th wicket stand of 73 with Alex Jeffrey who went on to make an unbeaten 43 from 87 balls, containing no boundaries. Alex Marcroft hit two fours and a six making 43 from 53 balls in a 5th wicket stand of 86 with Jeffrey before being bowled by Hayhurst off the last ball of the innings. Hayhurst took 2-77 from 14 overs and Ormerod 2-17 from 12.Rain then reduced Accrington's target to 165 from 35 overs.
