Accrington maintained their challenge with a 6 wicket win at Church. Skipper David Ormerod defied a torn thigh muscle to take 4-24 from a 16.1 over stint as the home side were bowled out for 100. Professional Roy Silva picked up 3-20 and Paul Carroll 2-22. Home professional Luke Woodcock made 37 but only Sam Tucker (13) of the other batsmen could make double figures. Graham Lloyd hit an unbeaten 33 with solid support from Simon Hanson (17), Matt Wilson (14), Stuart Crabtree (12) and Silva (10) to make Sunday an uncomfortable day for league leaders Haslingden who now have a slender 4 point lead. Lloyd reached 800 runs for the season during his innings.
