Accrington reached the semi finals with a 7 wicket win at Acre Bottom on June 20th. Alan Worsick took 5-31, including the vital wicket of Wasim Raja for 3, to dismiss Ramsbottom for 113. Peter Ashworth made 24 before being one of three run outs in the home sides innings. Graham Beech (23) and Peter West (24) put together a useful 2nd wicket stand of 56 after Terry Stewart had dismissed Geoff Hayhurst for 6 and then John Swanney (23 not out) and Alan Richardson (28 not out) saw Accrington home with few alarms.
