Bobby Simpson continued his rich vein of form to hit an unbeaten 85 in Accrington's 7 wicket home win over Lowerhouse. Simpson hit ten boundaries in his third successive unbeaten half century. The Australian added 60 for the 3rd wicket with his skipper Lindon Dewhurst who made 23. Jim Eland had earlier taken 4-38 and Simpson 3-47 in Lowerhouse's innings of 148. Maxie Mahmood made 35, Wally Monk 33 and John Devon 27 in the visitors innings. Accrington won for the sixth time to go on to 31 points. Scorecard
