Weekend Preview Tenth placed Accrington host bottom club Rishton on Sunday in a local derby at the Property Shop Arena. Both clubs were beaten last Sunday with Accrington going down to a derby defeat at Church and Rishton losing to leaders Rawtenstall. Accrington make three changes with Ric Williams, Jimmy Hayhurst and Ali Hasham replacing Yousuf Ali, Matt Wilson and Damian Clarke. The seconds travel to Rishton in the reverse fixture. The thirds host Walsden 4th XI on Saturday. This season we have a double Looking Back Feature going back to 1993 when Neil Johnson was professional and also to 2013 when the club won the Lancashire League title for the last time with Ashar Zaidi as professional. It was a blank weekend in the soggy 1993 season when Accrington's Worsley Cup tie at Rawtenstall on Sunday May 16th was rained off and played the following Saturday. Accrington's great start to the 2013 season continued with a sixth successive win in all competitions at Burnley on Saturday May 11th.
