Whalley's Levi Wolfenden will stand in as sub professional. Colne are again the opponents on Sunday this time in a Lancashire League Division 2 game at The Property Shop Arena. Successive defeats have seen former leaders Colne tumble down the table to eighth place whilst Accrington have won two of their eight league games to date. Accrington make two changes on the amateur front with skipper Graeme Sneddon and Jimmy Hayhurst returning in place of Asad Khan and Masihullah Patel. Shubham Khajuria will stand in as sub professional. Colne make one change with Shahbaz Rashid replacing Lewis Rimmer. The seconds travel to Walsden on Sunday. The thirds home game against Crompton has been brought forward from next Saturday to this Saturday. The club is looking for an umpire and a scorer for the remainder of the season. Please contact Mark Taylor on 07949610512 if you can help. This season we have a double Looking Back Feature going back to 1993 when Neil Johnson was professional and also to 2013 when the club won the Lancashire League title for the last time with Ashar Zaidi as professional. In 1993 a double header weekend saw Accrington fall to two more defeats. A 5 wicket home defeat to Burnley on Saturday was followed on Sunday June 13th by a sixth successive league defeat at Nelson by 77 runs. Accrington continued to march on in 2013 with a ninth win in a row this season to extend the club's record winning streak to thirteen with a 98 run win over Burnley on Sunday June 9th.
