Moh got the season underway at Lowerhouse with a first ball boundary on April 20th

Fellow pinch hitter Paul Carroll made his debut for the club

A time for contemplation after the loss of early wickets

The returning Graham Lloyd made 32 to pull things round

Putting on 34 with Matt for the 5th wicket

Both fell in identical fashion to Chris Benbow

But Jimmy Hayhurst hit a brilliant 34 in a 50 stand with Simon Hanson to help Accrington to an opening day 42 run win over one of the title favourites

Stuart Crabtree hit a valuable 19 in the 34 run win at Bacup on April 26th

Accrington Chairman of Selection Alick Ormerod arrived back from the seconds game at Haslingden to find the covers on at Thorneyholme Road on April 27th

David Lloyd turned up for training on Tuesday April 29th

And bowled in the nets

David's comeback against Burnley was called off due to rain

It's Sunday May 25th and Ian rolls the wicket on the morning of the match against Enfield

Roy the pro' knows he needs some time in the middle

And he gets it making his first half century for the club

Toby didn't last long though

The Stanley Ultras sponsored the game

Graham and Roy's half centuries helped Accy pile up 273-8

As usual Dibber bore the brunt of the attack

Matt relies on his lightening reflexes as Andy Barker digs in

But the man of the hour is Paul Carroll who picks up 5-86 as Accy win by just 3 runs

And to complete the perfect day the seconds won at Enfield

More drama in the 2nd Round Worsley Cup game on Saturday May 31st as Enfield's Mas Ahmed starts to take the game away from Accrington until Roy Silva traps him leg before

An epic match ends in a dramatic 1 run win for Accrington

The Sunday curse returned when the match against Rishton was abandoned on 1st June

And Roy Silva 77 in a 5 wicket win at Church on 8th June

The two added 106 for the 4th wicket to keep Accrington in second place in the table

David Lloyd is welcomed by Accrington President Peter Barratt on his second appearance of the 2008 season against Burnley on 14th June

An 8th wicket stand of 73 between Graeme Sneddon (51) and Zed Afzal (29) helped Accrington recover from 96-7 to record a 55 run win over Colne on 28th June

Graeme went on to hit his first half century of the season

The following day Accrington reached the Worsley Cup Final for the first time since 1989

Matt Wilson made his second half century but Accrington went down by 40 runs at Nelson on 27th July

Another difficult match against Bacup on August 2nd saw Graham under pressure after early wickets fell

He mixed careful shot selection

Simon stuck with him

Graham and Simon put on an unbroken 76 for the 7th wicket to win the match

After 22 long years Accrington finally won a senior trophy by picking up the Get Solutions Worsley Cup at Todmorden on Sunday August 3rd

And then the spinners came on to bowl... as Rishton made 147-8

A bright 37 at the top of the order by Matt Wilson set Accrington on the way

Graham Lloyd's 49 and Zed Afzal's unbeaten 19 finished Rishton off by 2 wickets

As usual Matt was in the thick of things as Haslingden made 144-8 on Sunday August 31st

Roy made an unbeaten 55 but rain was the winner as the game finished as a No Result

It's the penultimate match at nearest rivals Rawtenstall and captains David Omerod and Andy Payne agree to call the match off at 2.15pm and the title goes to Accrington
