Notes
--> Simpson made his debut in Lancashire League matches
--> Simpson made his last appearance in Lancashire League matches

Simpson fron Heywood deputised for Peel, one of the Accrington professionals, who had injured a toe on the previous Monday.
The weather was inclement and half-an-hour was lost during when Accrington batted.
Rain during the interval caused a further delay and when it ceased the unpires inspected the wickets; Burton Hacking and Bobby Horne visited the middle and Bobby said that the ground would not be fit for at least half-an-hour.
As the Accrington captain returned to the pavilion, he met Jim Lancaster and Chadwick going with bats in hand to the wicket. The two batsmen, along with the umpires, waited in the middle amidst much hooting from the crowd.
Eventually Accrington took the field about 10 minutes later to much jeering from the spectators but little play was achieved before more rain stopped play and stumps were drawn at 5.30pm to much further booing from the home supporters.
