The seconds dream of a first Cup Final appearance since 2002 were shattered in a hard fought semi final at Clitheroe. A lower order fightback saw Accrington recover to 140 all out after being in deep trouble at 43-6. Opener Connor Tattersall (31) and Matt Taylor (29) put on 41 for the 7th wicket with Sajjad Rauf (20 not out) and Jordan Marsden (10) then adding 33 for the 9th wicket. Stuart Lemon took 3-28 for Clitheroe. Taylor (3-20) and Len Dewhurst (2-21) reduced Clitheroe to 59-5, but an excellent unbeaten 54 by Eli Smith took the hosts to victory with 15 balls and 3 wickets to spare. Smith and Graeme Kershaw (26 not out) put on an unbroken 38 after 2 wickets fell at 106.
