Lenny loses the toss and Haslingden Capt decides Accrington can bat. J Hayhurst and Jacob Johnson open the batting after rain subsides, again we lose an early wkt score on 4 jonnie on his way back to the pavilion a bit bewildered how did the keeper catch that one 44 over’s to go. JJ pulled two big sixes but tried one shot to many, bowled for 13, total on 26, next wkt falls no score added Wahid lbw Hussain. Joining Ramiz at the wkt was late call up S Hudson who hadn’t played for 2 seasons made the game look easy by just picking up the ones and twos then the rain got too much for the umpires score on 50 for 3 with 21 over’s gone, then we sat in the pavilion for 2 hrs 28 mins then it miraculously it stopped raining!!! And Haslingden managed to get 4 over’s in to make it a game. Accrington reached 67 for six with Ramiz not out 17. Scott made 16 bowled, Ian 4 st and Bryn 1ct and bowled. Other last minute call up S Juliff not out.

Haslingden chasing where confronted with a double spin attack Haslingden lose first wkt on 12 ct Sam Tattersall bowled Lenny 21 over’s left, as it is now a 25 over match, Accrington bowling again was tight. Wahid getting the second wkt ct J Johnson total on 31, the crowed numbers were now swollen by the firsts as there game was called off because of rain. Lenny has a rest 7 over’s 5 maidens 1 wkt for 9 runs an excellent spell, he is replaced with Steve Juliff and Bryn Hargreaves who replaces Wahid, Haslingden reach the total with 4 over’s to spare.
