The Roscoes combined to help Rawtenstall to a 19 run win over Accrington at Bacup Road. Professional Sean Whitehead hit an unbeaten 104 in Rawtenstall's 228-5. Whitehead hit fifteen fours and a six in his maiden Lancashire League century. Kian Farnworth (3-47) sent back Matt Kershaw (6) and Sam Kershaw (0) to reduce the home side to 13-2. Tabassum Aziz (46) and Whitehead then added 100 for the 3rd wicket before Matt Taylor had the amateur caught by Accrington professional Jacob Clarke. Skipper Dean Barlow (32) joined his professional to take the score to 195 before giving Ben Gorton a return catch. Farnworth returned to clean up Louis Strand (1) at 202. Harry Etchells was unbeaten on 9 when the innings closed. Veteran Keith Roscoe then took 5-62 and grandson Ben picked up 3-43 to bowl Accrington out for 206, chasing a revised target of 226 from 46 overs. Strand also claimed three victims behind the wicket. Clarke (4) passed 500 runs for the season during his brief stay at the wicket before falling to Ben Roscoe. Keith Roscoe then sent back Ali Hasham (1). Skipper Graeme Sneddon (26) added 47 with opener Gorton before falling to Keith Roscoe. Gorton and Alice Clarke then added 64 for the 4th wicket before Alice fell to Ben Roscoe for 14. Ten runs later Gorton was trapped in front by Whitehead for 68, including ten fours. Yousuf Ali fell to Ben Roscoe without scoring with Farnworth holing out to Barlow off Keith Roscoe for 14 at 152. Keith Roscoe clean bowled Andy Greenwood (21) at 161 with Whitehead accounting for Jon Hayhurst (10) at 177. The last pair of Asad Khan (22 not out) and Taylor (16) earned a further three batting points with a last wicket stand of 29 which ended when Keith Roscoe has Taylor stumped by Strand to claim his 124th five wicket haul in the Lancashire League.
