Over 400 runs were scored at The Evolve Document Solutions Cliffe Park where Great Harwood beat Accrington by 87 runs. Great Harwood smashed 250-5 with professional Thikshila De Silva hitting 124. After Accrington professional/captain Jacob Clarke had removed opener Hammad Amin (1) at 6, de Silva joined skipper Reece Willets (22 off 22 balls) to add 164 for the 2nd wicket in 9.3 overs, the hundred coming up in the sixth over. De Silva took 44 runs off Asad Khan's first over hitting three fours and five successive sixes from an over that included two No Balls. Both men fell in the 11th over as Great Harwood slipped from 170-1 to 170-3. De Silva hit nine sixes and fourteen fours in making 124 from just 41 balls in 45 minutes of sheer mayhem. Ethan Houldsworth also hit 33 and Caleb Greenhalgh an unbeaten 30. Clarke (34) and Ali Hasham replied with an opening stand of 84. Hashum went on to make 63 from 45 balls with seven fours and four sixes. Simon Hanson also hit 26, Kian Farnworth an unbeaten 14 and Siraj Hussain 11 in Accrington's 163-4.
