A blast from the past from David Ormerod helped Accrington complete the double over Great Harwood with an 11 run win at The Property Shop Arena. Answering a late call to play, Ormerod took 5-14 from 11 overs to bowl Accrington to victory with Great Harwood being bowled out for 92 chasing 104 runs from 41 overs. Accrington openers professional Jacob Clarke (15) and Ben Gorton (24, passing 500 runs for the season) put on 30 before Clarke fell to Ethan Houldsworth. Skipper Graeme Sneddon (2) was Great Harwood professional Thikshila de Silva's first victim at 33. Gorton was cleaned up by de Silva (4-38) at 52. Two runs later Kasim Masood had Kian Farnworth caught by Matt Oddie for 4. Jimmy Hayhurst was bowled by Kasim Masood without scoring at 59 and Andy Greenwood (1) was caught behind by Hammad Amin off skipper Stuart Maher at 65. Jon Hayhurst (15) was caught by de Silva of Maher (2-16) at 78. Asad Khan hit 20 before falling to de Silva at 97. Ormerod was stumped by Amin off Kasir Masood for 2 and de Silva cleaned up Riley Armstrong for 6 leaving Damian Clarke unbeaten when the innings ended at 102 in the 36th over. Jacob Clarke broke an opening stand of 39 by clean bowling Alex Kennedy for 9. Ormerod then removed Oddie (2), de Silva first ball and Jason Peake (0) all at 42. Caleb Greenhalgh (13) joined opener Reece Willets to put on 29 before falling to Ormerod. Willets 64 ball knock of 42 ended when he was clean bowled by Ormerod at 78. Jacob Clarke (2-35) returned to remove Amin (1) without addition. Asad Khan sent back Kasir (1) and Kasim (0) Masood with Farnworth sending back skipper Maher (6) as the last 5 wickets fell for 14 runs.
