Enfield beat Accrington by 42 runs at The Property Shop Arena in the opening game of the JWL Bitter Group. Enfield professional Promod Maduwantha hit an unbeaten 90 in his sides 174-3. Maduwantha hit ten fours and two sixes in his 56 ball innings, adding 71 with skipper Lewis Wright (47), 75 with Greg Jones (17) and an unbroken 17 with Jack Cook (8 not out) after Siraj Hussain has cleaned up Faheem Basharat without scoring at 11. Skipper Ben Gorton top scored with 54 from 36 balls with nine fours but Faheem Basharat (3-24) and Wright (3-33) took 3 wickets apiece to restrict Accrington to 132-7. Ric Williams also hit an unbeaten 17 for Accrington.
