Accrington v Colne
Ben Gorton hit an unbeaten 85 to lead Accrington to a 9 wicket win over Colne in a rain reduced game at The Property Shop Arena. Chasing a revised target of 180 from 26 overs, Gorton and Ali Hasham put on 126 for the 1st wicket with Hasham making a career best 61 with seven fours and two sixes. Gorton and sub professional Shubham Khajuria (27 not out) then took Accrington to victory in the 23rd over with an unbroken stand of 56. Gorton hit thirteen boundaries from 65 balls. An opening stand of 171 laid the foundations for Colne's 273-5. Kenton Rhodes hit fourteen fours and three sixes in making 97 with Sam Tillotson playing the anchor role with 56 from 111 balls, including five fours in his first half century for seven seasons. Khajuria made the breakthrough having Rhodes caught by Siraj Hussain. Tillotson was run out bringing professional Geeth Kumara and David Spokes together. This pair added 49 before Kumara was stumped by Andy Greenwood off Khujaria for 32. Greenwood then stumped Safyan Ahmed (4) off Hussain who also trapped Spokes in front for 29 at 256. Skipper Tom Bradshaw (3 not out) and Matt Walker (15 not out) took the score to 273 at the end of 50 overs.
