A maiden half century from Jimmy Hayhurst and a career best 5-35 from Kian Farnworth helped Accrington to a 66 run win at Rishton. Ben Gorton fell just five runs short of a second league century, hitting thirteen fours and a six. After losing professional Jacob Clarke (8), Andy Greenwood (0) and Farnworth (4), Gorton and Hayhurst put on 128 for the 4th wicket. Toby Bulcock was also run out for 7 with skipper Graeme Sneddon unbeaten on 2 when the innings closed on 206-6 after a rain reduced 46 overs. Four more run outs in the Rishton innings took the match total to six with the top scoring Danny Briggs (34) amongst the victims. Farnworth removed Karl Andrews (25), sub professional Bryce Street (24), Miya Lunat (6), skipper Matt Leathert (9) and Garth Wyse (1) to complete a career best performance against his former club who were bowled out for 140.
