Rawtenstall v Accrington
Skipper Graeme Sneddon hit an unbeaten 40 to lead Accrington to a 3 wicket win at Rawtenstall who played without a professional. Mohammed Tayyib took 5-25 and professional Jacob Clarke a season's best 4-48 to bowl Rawtenstall out for 178. Clarke picked up opener Imran Abid (12), Harry Etchells (0), Ishaq Hussain (25), and Musa Rehman (0). Playing against his former club, Tayyib removed Rizwan Shafiq (34), Abbaas Ahmad (7), Siraj Hussain (0), Ben Roscoe (0) and Zain Hanif (5). Stuart Crabtree (1-8) polished off the innings by bowling last man Jack Hallows for a senior best 17 after the wicketkeeper and captain Adil Hussain (30 not out) had put on 38. Adil struck an early blow by trapping Clarke in front off the first ball of the innings. Ben Gorton (7) fell to Abid at 16. Abid then trapped Kian Farnworth (5) in front at 37. Andy Greenwood made 39 before falling to Shafiq at 81 and one run later Crabtree fell to the same bowler for 21. Shafiq (3-24) then removed Connor Tattersall (6) to have Accrington in trouble at 91-7. Jimmy Hayhurst and Sneddon put on 60 for the 7th wicket before Hayhurst fell to Ishaq Hussain for 27. Sneddon was joined by Tayyib (13 not out) and this pair secured the points with nine balls to spare.
