Great Harwood v Accrington
A high scoring local derby at The Evolve Document Solutions Cliffe Park went the way of Great Harwood who beat Accrington by 25 runs. Great Harwood professional Thikshila de Silva top scored with 60, passing 500 runs for the season, in his sides 279-9 with his opposite number Jacob Clarke taking 4-54. Clarke had Caleb Greenhalgh caught behind by Ben Gorton for 10 with 12 on the board. Kian Farnworth removed Matt Oddie (3) at 30 thanks to another catch behind by Gorton. Opener Ismheel Shakeel was joined by de Silva and this pair added 95 for the 3rd wicket. Jimmy Hayhurst (2-55) broke the stand trapping Shakeel in front for 43. De Silva followed at 136 caught by Andy Greenwood off Hayhurst for a 65 ball 60 with nine fours. Chris Oddie then hit an unbeaten 57, including six fours. He put on 72 for the 5th wicket with Reece Willets who made 39 before falling to Connor Tattersall (2-53). Allan Armer (14) also fell to Tattersall with Clarke returning to pick up Kasir Masood (1), Ethan Houldsworth (12) and Stuart Maher (0). Marcus Hamer was also unbeaten on 5 when the innings ended. Accrington lost Clarke (8) at 21 and Andy Greenwood (16) at 74 with Gorton continuing his good form at the other end. Farnworth (17) fell to Maher at 115. The Great Harwood skipper struck again to clean bowl Gorton for 68, including a dozen fours, at 126. Skipper Graeme Sneddon (21) fell to Masood at 154 and Stuart Crabtree was bowled by Hamer for 23 at 171. De Silva removed Tattersall (14) and Matt Taylor (0) in successive balls at 192. Hayhurst and Yousuf Ali put on 43 before Ali fell to Matt Oddie for 28. Hayhurst was last man out for 43 after adding another 19 with Riley Armstrong (1 not out) at 254.
