Accrington v Enfield
A 40 overs aside game at The Property Shop Arena went the way of Enfield who beat Accrington by 63 runs. A century from opener Lewis Wright helped Enfield make 254-4 in a 40 overs aside match. Wright hit nine fours and four sixes making 100 from 103 balls. Wright and Greg Jones (45) put on 111 for the 1st wicket before Jones was trapped in front by Toby Bulcock. Yasir Ali hit 54 with seven fours in a 2nd wicket stand of 90 with Wright before being bowled by Simon Hanson. Wright finally fell at to Bulcock at 213. Skipper Adam Bracewell hit 24 before falling to Kian Farnworth at 247 leaving professional Promod Maduwantha (16 not out) and Tiarnan Hamill (2 not out) unbeaten at the close. Bulcock conceded 104 runs from his 13 overs. Nihaal Basharat sent back professional Jacob Clarke (28) at 43 and Maduwantha removed Andy Greenwood (14) at 73. Ben Gorton hit 55, including seven fours, before falling to Maduwantha at 146. Stuart Crabtree hit 45 from 43 balls before being trapped in front by Maduwantha who dished out the same treatment to Hanson (6) one run later. Nihaal Basharat sent back skipper Graeme Sneddon (2) and Matt Taylor (2) with Maduwantha adding Bulcock (3) and Farnworth (8) to his list to finish with a league best 6-41. Jon Hayhurst (4 not out) and Riley Armstrong (0 not out) were at the crease when rain ended the contest with Accrington on 182-9 after 37.2 overs.
