More records fell at Darwen where the home side beat Accrington by 163 runs after piling up a club record score of 302-4 in the competition. Openers John Painter and skipper Scott Friend also rewrote the record books with a competition record opening stand of 207. In just his fourth senior outing John Painter hit an unbeaten 122, including nine fours. Scott Friend hit ten fours and two sixes in his 104 made from 119 balls. Reece Davies (20 not out) and Mark Friend (15) also chipped in with Toby Bulcock taking 2-61 for Accrington. In reply Accrington openers Stuart Crabtree (46) and Ben Gorton (45) put on 106 but after Crabtree fell at 106 and Gorton followed at 119, no-one else made double figures as the visitors fell from 120-2 to 139 all out. Dave Bowden was the chief tormenter taking 5-15 and with professional Siddhesh Lad taking 4-29, four wickets fell at 120 with the final four wickets mustering just 3 runs.
