Church maintained their promotion challenge with a comprehensive 10 wicket win over local rivals Accrington at West End. Andrew Bentley (3-33), professional Sagar Trivedi (3-35), Levi Wolfenden (2-13) and Mo Bhada (2-4) combined to bowl Accrington out for 85. Openers professional Jacob Clarke (11) and Ben Gorton (22) put on 25 before Clarke fell to his opposite number Trivedi. After Wolfenden had Gorton caught by Phill Gilrane at 41, Bentley struck to have Andy Greenwood caught by Josh Scully for 5 at the same score. Three runs later Sam Tucker snapped up Kian Farnworth (1) off Bentley. Stuart Crabtree (0) followed without addition to give Wolfenden his second wicket. Skipper Graeme Sneddon added 19 with Jon Hayhurst before falling to Bentley for 13. Connor Tattersall (1) was cleaned up by Trivedi at 71. Hayhurst followed three runs later to the Tucker-Trivedi combination for 9. Mohammed Tayyib fell without addition to Bhada for 2 and when Matt Taylor also fell to Bhada for 4, Accrington were all out for 85 leaving Riley Armstrong unbeaten on 6. It took openers Craig Fergusson (37 not out) and Scully (39 not out) 19.3 overs to knock off the runs and secure maximum points.
