Phill Aspinall took 5-27 to help East Lancs to a 125 run win over Accrington at Alexandra Meadows. Niall Boyle (44) and Paul Turner (43) put on 95 for the 4th wicket after Tom Walker (4-67) and professional Lasith Lakshan (3-28) had reduced East Lancs to 34-3. Veteran Len Dewhurst broke the stand by clean bowling Boyle to become the oldest player on record to take a Lancashire League wicket for Accrington at 60 years, 1 month and 30 days. Walker returned to remove Turner, Aspinall (1) and Adam Bolton (2) but an 8th wicket stand of 56 between Eshan Ratnaweera (31 not out) and Ben Finch (26) took East Lancs past the 200 mark. Accrington conceded 45 extras in East Lancs 223 all out. Lakshan made 21 in an opening stand of 32 with Jon Hayhurst (17) and Walker and Riley Armstrong 20 apiece but no other player made double figures for Accrington who were bowled out for 98.
