Tom Walker (16) became Fell's first victim at 99 after adding 36 for the 5th wicket with skipper Graeme Sneddon. The home skipper was next to go when he was clean bowled by the left arm spin of Fell for 21 with the score on 127. Opening the bowling, Lakshan had Matt Collinge caught by Walker for 2 with 10 on the board. Newbitt (10) and Serasinghe took the score to 32 when the visiting skipper gave Bulcock a return catch. Walker then trapped Chris Gansler (1) in front at 42. Bulcock removed Serasinghe for 32 to leave Bacup in deep trouble on 60-7.
