Nineteen year-old Alice Clarke became the first woman to play in the first team in a Lancashire League related match when she made her debut in Accrington's President's Cup match against Rishton at The Property Shop Arena. Alice opened the batting, making 10 and then she kept wicket picking up one catch to dismiss Luke Eddleston (4) off Tom Walker. The match turned out to be a thriller with the visitors edging home by just 1 wicket chasing Accrington's 104-9. Jimmy Hayhurst top scored with an unbeaten 27 from 22 balls in Accrington's 104-9 in a rain reduced 30 overs a-side contest. Openers Jon Hayhurst and Alice Clarke put on 35 before Hayhurst was caught by Mark Leathert off Euan Clark for 10. Three runs later Clarke also fell for 10, made from 43 balls, caught by Leathert off Andrew Hickey. Shaun Hutchinson cleaned up Tom Walker without scoring one run later. Skipper Graeme Sneddon (2) also fell to Hutchinson at 41. Andy Greenwood was next to go well stumped by Danny Curran off Hickey for 2 without addition.
