A controversial finish in Group 2 at Alexandra Meadows saw Accrington register a 1 wicket win after East Lancs didn't bowl their overs in the allotted time. The home side made 153-3 from 39 overs with Duckworth Lewis giving Accrington a target of 156 from 39 overs. Six penalty runs were awarded to Accrington after 38 overs giving the visitors victory. East Lancs skipper Niall Boyle top scored with an unbeaten 65 in his sides 153-3. Tom Walker removed Paul Turner (13) at 21 after the opener had hit two sixes. Phill Aspinall (30) added 40 with his skipper before falling to Jimmy Hayhurst (2-22). John Turner (17) put on 44 with Boyle but Hayhurst struck again. Ben Finch was unbeaten on 15 when the innings closed. Adeel Mohammed sent back Matt Wilson (2) at 7 and Aspinall removed Andy Greenwood (1) three runs later. Jon Hayhurst (21) fell to Finch at 54 and then John Turner (5-44) picked up Walker (20) at 77, Danny Armstrong (5) at 93, skipper Graeme Sneddon (9) at 107, Riley Armstrong (15) at 113 and Matt Jones (0) at 117. Jimmy Hayhurst made 18 but when he fell to Finch at 142 Accrington still needed 13 to win. Ben Makin (13 not out) and Raheem Kasser (4 not out) put on 10 before the penalty runs were added at the end of the 38th over. Accrington's total included 50 extras.
