Walsden cruised to a 7 wicket win over Accrington at Scott Street inside 17 overs after bowling the visitors out for 66. Professional Umesh Karunaratne took 4-10 and then hit an unbeaten 25 to secure maximum points for the champions. Stevie Barker (2-25) removed openers Graeme Sneddon (1) and Sam Bancroft (4) and then Jamie Shackleton (3-28) sent back Keiren Grimshaw (1), sub professional Tony Palladino (4) and Jon Hayhurst (9). Joe Gale accounted for Tom Walker (1) with Umesh polishing off the tail by sending back skipper Ross Brown (9), Jimmy Hayhurst (0), veteran Matt Wilson who was the only man in double figures with 17 and Raheem Kasser (0). Walker removed Cameron Hanson (8) at 16 and four runs later Palladino trapped Matt Dawson in front without scoring. Jake Hooson (14) hoisted Brown to long on where Palladino took a good catch on the run but Umesh and skipper Nick Barker (13) saw Walsden to victory with an unbroken stand of 39.
