League leaders Ramsbottom picked up maximum points for the third game running beating Accrington by 8 wickets at Acre Bottom. Keiren Grimshaw top scored with 37 in Accrington's 135 all out after professional Karl Brown was out for a second successive duck. Owen Collinge had Meeran Shah caught by Jonny Dack for 3 at 12. One run later Matt Burdaky (1-43) clean bowled the Accrington professional without scoring. Opener Tom Pettini and Grimshaw put on 51 when Pettini was trapped in front by Ramsbottom's sub professional Daryn Smit for 29. Grimshaw was next to go at 76 stumped by Tom Parton off Rehan Udwadia after hitting three fours and a six. Jon Hayhurst was also stumped by Parton this time off Smit for 4 with 88 on the board. Graeme Sneddon (7) was bowled by Jon Fielding at 99 and skipper Ross Brown (6) became the third stumping victim of the innings again off Smit at 117. Sam Bancroft was run out without scoring at the same total. Jacob Clarke hung around for 70 balls in making 29 before being caught by Michael Howarth off Fielding at 124. Jimmy Hayhurst was unbeaten on 13 when Raheem Kasser fell to Fielding without scoring at 135. Clarke had Alex Olpin (11) stumped by Bancroft at 23 and skipper Brown clean bowled his opposite number Parton (12) at 67 but Udwadia and Smit both hit unbeaten half centuries to take Ramsbottom to victory in the 33rd over. Udwadia hit eleven fours in making 57 from 70 balls with Smit ending his stint as sub professional with an unbeaten 50 from 54 balls with seven fours and a six.
