Harry Lang hit an unbeaten 69 to lead Clitheroe to a 5 wicket win over Accrington at Chatburn Road. Professional Karl Brown top scored with 77 in Accrington's 177-9. Brown hit nine fours and two sixes from 113 balls in making his highest league score for the club and his third league half century of the season. Veteran Marcus Sharp removed Tom Pettini for 10 with 12 on the board. Sam Halstead then sent back the other opener Jon Hayhurst for 2 with 16 on the board. Brown and Keiren Grimshaw repaired the damage with a 3rd wicket stand of 115 before Grimshaw was caught by Clitheroe professional Suraj Randiv off Thomas Lord for 44. Grimshaw hit six fours in his fourth league half century of the season. Stand-in skipper Jacob Clarke was bowled by Lord for 6 at 146 and seven runs later Brown fell in identical fashion. Lord also removed Graeme Sneddon (8) at 168 to finish with 4-45 and Randiv (3-49) took the last three wickets sending back Meeran Shah (8), Tom Walker (2) and Jimmy Hayhurst (1). Clarke removed Charlie Dewhurst (4) at 4 but Sam Mulligan (20) and Lang put on 40 before Raheem Kasser (2-45) trapped Mulligan in front. Skipper Peter Dibb (35) joined Lang to add 81 for the 3rd wicket before Clarke took a return catch off his opposite number. Clarke (3-71) trapped Kyle O'Connor without scoring ten runs later and Kasser sent back Randiv (14) at 153. Lord (14 not out) and Lang saw Clitheroe home after 43 overs. Lang's league best 69 came off 113 balls and contained six fours and a six.
