The 250th Lancashire league derby between Church and Accrington went the way of Accrington who left West End with 12 points after a 5 wicket win. Jacob Clarke took 5-22 to dismiss Church for 103. Clarke trapped former Accrington captain Stuart Crabtree without scoring second ball. Jimmy Hayhurst sent back Josh Scully (2) at 2 and then Clarke removed Craig Fergusson (0) and professional Dayyaan Galiem (9). David Ormerod trapped skipper Levi Wolfenden for 7 before Joel Gaskill (29) and Phill Gilrane (15) put on 45 for the 6th wicket. Skipper Ross Brown ended Gaskill's innings at 68 and one run later Gilrane fell to Ormerod. Clarke mopped up the tail by removing Jack Ellison (4) and Jack Gaskill (26) with Sam Tucker being run out for 4. Accrington lost opener Tom Pettini in the first over without scoring to Galiem (3-43). Jon Hayhurst put on 38 with professional Karl Brown before edging Galiem to wicketkeeper Tucker. Keiren Grimshaw made 9 before sweeping Jack Gaskill to Gilrane at 55 and Clarke was trapped in front next ball to put the off spinner on a hat-trick. Graeme Sneddon made 5 before being taken down the leg side by Tucker. Brown stood firm finishing unbeaten on 49 from 107 balls including five fours, adding an unbroken 38 with Sam Bancroft who hit one six and one four in making an unbeaten 24.
