Accrington v Burnley
Burnley won at Accrington after a rain delay left the home side needing 210 to win off 30 overs. An opening stand of 132 between Liam Bedford and Chris Holt set Burnley on the way to an imposing 278-7 off 50 overs. Bedford hit nine fours in making 67 from 111 balls and Holt 59 from 70 balls with eight fours and a six. Sub professional Mark Cosgrove made 33, Qasim Shah 23, Chris Burton an unbeaten 28 and skipper Dan Pickup made 15 before becoming Tom Walker's first senior wicket. Accrington also conceded 53 extras, including 33 wides. Jimmy Hayhurst took 3-44 and professional Karl Brown 2-58. Openers Tom Pettini and Karl Brown put on 42 before Pettini was bowled by Holt for 12. Brown hit two sixes and a four before holing out to Bharat Tripathi at long off for 26. Keiren Grimshaw and Jacob Clarke added 43 before Clarke was bowled by Tripathi for 16. Graeme Sneddon (17) helped Grimshaw add 52 for the 4th wicket before being bowled by Steve Brunt (2-44) at 148. Grimshaw fell in the penultimate over after an excellent 64 from 63 balls which included five fours and a six. Accrington finished on 174-5 at a gloomy 8.25pm.
