Darwen won their first Moorhouse's 2020 game in the Blonde Witch Group at Birch Hall beating Accrington by 7 wickets. Dave Bowden (2-14), Neil Cordingley (2-17) and Reece Davies (2-36) all picked up a couple of wickets apiece to restrict the visitors to 112-9. Keiren Grimshaw top scored with 34, adding 33 for the 2nd wicket with professional Michael Erlank (19) but Accrington collapsed from 42-2 to 112-9 with Sam Bancroft (12) and Jon Hayhurst (10) the only other men in double figures. Ammer Mirza then hit an unbeaten 55 from 36 balls, including ten boundaries to see Darwen to victory after 12.3 overs. Scott Friend also made 30 and professional Calvin Savage 12.
