Clitheroe beat Accrington by 24 runs at Chatburn Road to move up to second place in the league table. Accrington skipper Simon Hanson bowled a good spell of 4-42 from 15 overs to restrict Clitheroe to 152-9. Openers Charlie Dewhurst (15) and Ali Ross (36) put on 42 before Jacob Clarke (3-29) dismissed both the Dewhurst brothers in successive balls. Hanson accounted for Ross and professional Fawad Alam without scoring to have the home side in trouble on 69-4. Harrison Phelan (23), Kurt Robinson (14), skipper Paul Gaskell (14 not out) and Thomas Lord (10) all chipped in late in the innings to take Clitheroe on to 152-9. Jack Dewhurst (3-16), Sam Halstead (3-26) and Phelan (3-32) all took 3 wickets apiece to dismiss Accrington for 128. Sam Bancroft top scored with 26, Keiren Grimshaw made 20 and Hanson 19 in the Accrington innings. Scorecard
