Accrington v Rawtenstall
An outstanding all rounder performance by professional Ockert Erasmus helped Accrington to a 120 run win over Rawtenstall at Thorneyholme Road. Erasmus top scored with an unbeaten 100 in Accrington's 220-6 and he then took 5-4 in 6 overs to dismiss the visitors for 100. Erasmus hit six fours and three sixes from 104 balls in hitting exactly 100, his second century of the season. The South African put on 82 for the 4th wicket with Keiren Grimshaw who hit three fours and a six in a 69 ball knock of 40. Jacob Clarke (25) then put on 60 for the 5th wicket with his professional before falling to Keith Roscoe (2-73). Skipper Graeme Sneddon also made 31 and Matt Wilson 10. Accrington's innings contained just 1 extra, a wide. After losing opener Daniel Southworth (10) at 24, Rawtenstall were going well on 58-2 but once David Ormerod (2-25) had accounted for Chris Cook-Martin (33) and Erasmus had dismissed Sam Kershaw (23) wickets began to tumble in rapid fashion. Clarke picked up Rawtenstall professional Brett Pelser for 6 thanks to a fine slip catch by Jimmy Hayhurst and two run outs sealed the visitors' fate.
