Lowerhouse won the battle of the losing Worsley Cup semi finalists beating Accrington by 4 wickets at Thorneyholme Road. The home side made 168-4 with professional Ockert Erasmus top scoring with an unbeaten 68 from 107 balls with six fours and a six. Matt Wilson also made 33 but it took an unbroken 5th wicket stand of 105 between Eramsus and Stuart Crabtree to pull the innings round. Crabtree made a season's best unbeaten 41 in the league with just two fours. Jimmy Hayhurst (3-33) removed Jonny Whitehead (10), professional Cobus Pienaar (11) and Joe Halstead with Jacob Clarke picking up Fergus Bailey (11) to have the visitors 50-4. After being dropped on 22, Matt Walker seized the opportunity to make a career best unbeaten 89 to win the match. The left hander struck eleven fours and two sixes from 85 balls, adding 111 for the 5th wicket with Paddy Martin (24).
