Enfield stay in the race for the Holland Cup after a 7 wicket derby win at Accrington. Professional Graeme van Buuren signed off for the season in style by taking a league best 7-25 and then hitting an unbeaten 47 to see Enfield take maximum points. Chris Bowness struck the first blow by dismissing opener Matt Wilson for 12 with 27 on the board. Skipper Graeme Sneddon fell to Sam Cook for 25 after putting on 51 for the 2nd wicket with Stuart Crabtree. Professional Ockert Erasmus hit four boundaries in a ten ball 17 and still needs another 11 to score 1,000 in a season for the first time. Van Buuren then got to work dismissing Keiren Grimshaw (0), Jacob Clarke (7), Ramiz Hussain (0), Alfie Taylor (0) to have Accrington struggling at 121-7. Andy Greenwood (8) helped Crabtree put on 14 and Jimmy Hayhurst (4) added 10 with the left hander but it was a last wicket stand of 32 with David Ormerod (4 not out) that gave Accrington a total to defend. Crabtree was last man out after a fine knock of 75 which included six fours and three sixes made from 126 balls, his second half century of the weekend after a barren season. Clarke removed Lewis Wright without scoring at 11 and Hayhurst sent back Liam Bedford for 28 with the score on 58. Eight runs later Joe Wrigley was run out for 27. Van Buuren then got together with his captain Adam Bracewell in an unbroken 4th wicket stand of 115 to see Enfield to victory. Bracewell hit an unbeaten 54 from 44 balls, including four fours and three sixes and van Buuren hit two fours from 66 balls in his unbeaten 47.

In the seconds Gul Khan hit an unbeaten century in a 49 run win over Enfield 2nds. Coming in at 73-5 Gul scored 108* with 12 fours and 2 sixes. He shared an 8th wicket partnership of 100 with Raheem Kasser (12) and put on 62 for the 9th wicket with Ciaran Berry (17 no). He then went to take 2 catches and ended the game with a run out from a direct hit. Gul now has 488 league runs and 46 wickets for the season.
