Accrington v Colne
Accrington professional Ockert Erasmus still needs 7 runs from the final match at East Lancs to reach 1,000 for the season after being out for 4 in his sides 42 run win over Colne at Thorneyholme Road. Erasmus was unluckily run out when Andy Hakin touched a Keiren Grimshaw straight drive on to the stumps with the South African well out of his ground. Jacob Clarke top scored with a career best 69 from 93 balls, including ten boundaries in the home sides 171 all out. Hakin took 5-30, picking up the early wickets of skipper Graeme Sneddon (12), Matt Wilson (16) and Stuart Crabtree (16) to have the home side in trouble at 52-4. Clarke and Grimshaw took the score to 80 with Clarke doing most of the scoring. Jon Hayhurst also made an unbeaten 18. Jimmy Hayhurst took 5-34 and Erasmus 4-56 to bowl Colne out for 129. Sub professional David King made 23 and Tom Bradshaw 12 but it was skipper Matt Walker who led from the front making a career best unbeaten 58 from 95 balls with four fours and three sixes to help his side to a batting point.
