Accrington professional Ockert Erasmus hit an unbeaten 65 in his sides 32 run win at Colne. Erasmus hit just one six and one four from the 105 balls that he faced. He put on an unbroken 55 for the 9th wicket with Jimmy Hayhurst who made an unbeaten 27. Keiron Grimshaw made 39 on his Lancashire League debut, Ali Hasham made 15 and Jacob Clarke 14 for the visitors with Colne's sub professional Luke Procter taking 4-48 and John Lambert 3-72 on his return to the club. Inspite of conceding 38 extras including 29 wides, Accrington managed to restrict Colne to 161 all out. Clarke took 3-40 after a couple of wayward overs, Erasmus 2-29, Hayhurst 2-41 and David Ormerod 2-44 on his return after missing most of last season with injury. Procter (22), Joel Duerden (20), Sam Tillotson (18), Alex White (18) and Lambert (17) all chipped in to the Colne total.
