Matt Thompson played a captain's innings to lead Bacup to a 5 wicket win at Accrington. Thompson made an unbeaten 28 in an unbroken 6th wicket stand of 51 with veteran Peter Killelea (18 not out) after the visitors were struggling on 95-5 chasing Accrington's 143 all out. Tim Farragher top scored with 41 from 92 balls, including five fours, adding 50 for the 3rd wicket with professional Haseeb Azam (20). Jimmy Hayhurst had removed Adam Highley before a run had been scored and professional Ockert Erasmus (2-37) had accounted for Matt Collinge (11) at 30. Azam had earlier taken 5-32 and Henry Butcher a career best 5-55 in Accrington's innings. Azam sent back openers Matt Wilson (10) and Jon Hayhurst (9) but Keiren Grimshaw and Erasmus put on 62 for the 3rd wicket. Grimshaw hit six fours in making a league best 41 from 65 balls and Erasmus made 27. Butcher dismissed them both as Accrington slipped from 97-2 to 121-8. Toc Hussain was unbeaten on 11, helping to add 22 for the last 2 wickets. There were also 35 extras.
