Accrington completed the double over Todmorden with a 7 wicket win in a high scoring game at Centre Vale. Professional Ockert Erasmus took 5-52 to pass 50 wickets for the season and Jimmy Hayhurst also took 3-39 for the visitors. Sub professional Saliya Saman top scored with 57 from 68 balls, including three sixes and two fours in Todmorden's 196-9. Simon Newbitt also hit a half century, making 54 from 89 balls with four fours. Stuart Priestley edged to within 59 runs of the magical five figure mark in making an unbeaten 18, Paul Senior also made 18 and Ben Pearson 17. Accrington openers Ramiz Hussain and Sam Excell also posted half centuries in putting on 110, the club's best opening stand of the season. Hussain made 54 with four fours and a six before falling to Nigel Doyle (3-57) who also had Simon Hanson stumped by Pearson without addition. Excell went on to make a career best 61 with nine fours and a six before becoming Doyle's third victim at 144. Erasmus (44 not out, passing 700 runs for the season) saw Accrington home with skipper Stuart Crabtree who celebrated his return from suspension with an unbeaten 26 in an unbroken stand of 55 with his professional.
