In Group A Accrington won at Rishton by 4 runs. Paul Clifford took and Irfan Muhammed 2-16 to have Accrington in trouble at 31-4 but solid knocks in the lower order by Jon Hayhurst (14 not out) and Jacob Johnson (15 not out) who put on 38 for the 8th wicket and Bryn Hargreaves (15) took the visitors to 118-7. Graeme Sneddon also made 15 before being brilliantly caught low down at long on by Keegan Dobson. Jacob Clarke removed Mo Patel (11) at 17 but a 2nd wicket stand of 73 between Abdul Bisoodwall (43) and stand in skipper and professional Matt Hulett (33) looked to have sealed the game for the home side. Accrington professional Ockert Erasmus (2-18) removed the amateur and Hargreaves (2-21) took the vital wicket of the home professional to spark a collapse that saw Rishton tumble from 90-1 to 110-7. Bryn Hargreaves was named man of the match.
