Accrington beat the rain to record a 35 run win at Nelson in a 35 overs a-side game. Professional Ockert Erasmus it an unbeaten 40 from 38 balls with three fours and two sixes in Accrington's 168-4. Ramiz Hussain (20) and Sam Excell (39 from 51 balls with three fours and a six) put on 51 for the first wicket before both fell to Toxy Hussain who took all 4 wickets to fall for 54 runs. Skipper Stuart Crabtree also hit 29 from 37 balls, Graeme Sneddon an unbeaten 16 and Simon Hanson 13. Erasmus then took 4-41 and Jimmy Hayhurst 3-2 to dismiss Nelson for 135. Professional Ryan Canning top scored with 45 before being brilliantly run out by a direct hit by Erasmus. Skipper Neil Thompson also made 34 and Richard Meade but Nelson weren't able to pierce the field enough to keep up with the required rate. The win takes Accrington above Church and into fifth place.
